Going again!

Well it has been a long cold spell for my cakes and baking but I had my beautiful baby girl, Emmalyn Nicole. I am really looking forward to getting my cake up and going now. I am even trying my hand at something new, homemade fondant. I know there is a bigger demand for that and the cakes can turn out beautiful so I am really trying to get my hands into it. I have found a really easy recipe to make it and it does taste pretty good. I have heard that bought fondant tastes bad and that was my fear of getting into it was my end product would take so much work and no one would enjoy it. So here is a few pictures of my resent cakes. Hope you all enjoy. (the few of you that look at this LOL)

First sold cheesecake!

This is a cookies-n-cream no bake cheese cake. It is one of my favorites!! I love the no bakes because they stay so light. I sent one of these into Greg's work for a cook-out they were doing and one of the guys just did not get enough so he decided he need to buy on of them. YUMMY!!

Baby shower cookie cake!

This is the baby shower cookie cake I did last weekend. It is a double layer chocolate chip cookie with a think layer of frosting in between. The little pink blocks say baby but you really can't tell that by the picture. This was a lot of fun to make!

Finally a little action!!

Well after a very long dry spell I finally got a little action!! I had a lady contact me for a 3 tiered cake for a family gathering. But when she needed it i would be about 38 weeks pregnant, so I sadly had to turn that one down. I did not want to be in labor when I should have been delivering her cake leaving her high and dry. Later that night I had some one order a cookie cake for this coming weekend for a baby shower. I had never made one of those so I did a practice on today and sent it into work with my husband. It turned out really well. Everyone at my husbands work is a huge football fan so I thought i would get their goats a little bit. I am going to get a better pan to make it in and other than that I am all set for it. I will have picture posted as soon as I can of it. I also had a cheesecake ordered from me last night. I made one this past weekend for my husbands cook out at work and turns out it was a big hit. One guy asked for me to make one for him next week just because. So I guess I could say I have expanded my inventory to , cakes, cupcakes, cookie cakes, and cheese cakes, and cookies. I only do homemade no bake cheesecakes, but I guess i need to start looking into doing the baked ones also. The no-bakes are just so light and fluffy that I hate making anything but. But if I have one ordered I guess i should make it. I really am wanting some more business coming my way. So if you need any baked goods let me know!! 903-431-2003!!!

Play Ball!

These are just a cupcake order I had for a baseball team's end of the season party.

Baby shower!

Well I got to make my first baby shower cake! The lady that ordered it left the options really open so I just had fun with it. It was a double layer chocolate cake. The dots on the side turned out better than I thought it would.

Baseball!!

This is a cake I did for a 13 year old boy who is VERY into baseball! I thought the sunglasses and the hat were a neat teenager touch!
